The monthly meeting of the Education Sector Working Group

The Jordan Coalition for Education for All participated today, Thursday, 4 December 2025, represented by the National Coordinator Ms. Abeer Tamimi, and Ms. Fotouh Younes, Executive Director of the Arab Network for Civic Education – ANHRE, a founding member of the Coalition, in the monthly meeting of the Education Sector Working Group, held with the participation of key education partners in Jordan.

The meeting discussed the latest developments related to the Ministry of Education’s Strategy for 2026–2030, in addition to updates on the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP) and the Jordan Response Plan (JRP), particularly regarding efforts to ensure the safe return of Syrian students to education in Syria and within host communities in Jordan.

The group also discussed the Call for Expression of Interest for organizations wishing to apply for the role of Grant Agent for the Ministry of Education’s Multiplier Grant, funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), in support of the Ministry’s priorities for the coming period. The meeting also included updates on World Children’s Day activities in the camps, as well as a presentation by Caritas on its educational interventions related to Early Childhood Education.

The Education Sector Working Group serves as a coordination platform with the participation of donors, UN agencies, and civil society organizations. It aims to strengthen joint planning, enhance coordination efforts, and ensure the development and implementation of inclusive education policies that respond to the needs of all learners, especially in the context of crises and societal change.

The presence of the Coalition in the ESWG reflects its pivotal role in enhancing community participation in educational policymaking, by representing the voice of civil society organizations in planning and monitoring processes, providing evidence-based recommendations drawn from the experience of its members organizations, contributing to the inclusiveness and equity of education policies for the most vulnerable groups, and supporting coordination between civil society, national stakeholders, and international partners in a way that strengthens sector governance and improves the effectiveness of the educational response.
